Travel modelling is one thing but travel painting is taking it to a whole new level. ;D

I did try it when I was travelling but when you are catching planes etc I would get so many scrathes and chips in the paint work that is hardely worth it.

I really like this bird it has that so crazy that it might be true feel about it. Can't wait to see this one finished.
Get this Cheese to sick bay!

Must sleep after driving home from Austin
Still have to pack all models to take to IPMS SHOW

Stuck on as many details as is practical
pitot tube ,20mm cannon, antenna, props(unpainted) radome, arrestor hook, many decals(only about half)
Not finished enough to enter but won't embarrass us at the Whiffers table (as a WIP)
MUST SLEEP

Be sure to take some pictures at the show... would be interesting to see it displayed alongside other flights of fancy. Really is looking great, and you have probably the most original approach to a paint job that they will have there. Looks cool and wicked all at the same time.

Frickin' incredible work, Toolslinger! Looks perfect in that night scheme with those Kiwi markings! I really like the nose turret! Hope you have a blast at the show!

JHM... the metallic black paint used on these aircraft was an early type of stealth technology which actually absorbs ambient light, like moonlight (it's a night fighter afterall) hence any photograph is effected by that property.  :dalek:

Wow, that is looking great!  That's an amazing assortment of firepower packed into an airframe.  But it looks like you forgot the kitchen sink!

Thanks Mav and everyone else who has put up with this monster :banghead:
I pulled 15 hours last night .Did I come home and sleep? Not that smart  I came home and slammed details on
The arrow will , of course , say " This side up"

Decals on bottom(of the plane) ;D

The 309 are squadron markings, but the 18 with the red ,white and blue stripes indicate this plane is piloted by a member af the 18th American volunteer group

The arrow will say "Fly this way" ;D

Itty bitty decals suck after about 30 hours of no sleep, but this is the day my apartment complex does the yard work so there have been roaring engines outside my windows all day anyway :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

More  detailing on the bomb bay

Rear bulkhead is in , only painting left

How the BFG will look

MUST SLEEP maybe the grounds crew  will all explode at the same time ;D
