Keep in mind also that you are showing your PSR on a black subject and at about 400% of actual size.  Taking that into consideration, you'll have this baby all smoothed out by the time a Canuck is President of the US of A!!   It's looking great btw: completely and totally overwhelming.  Can you imagine this behemoth coming at you, guns blazing out of the black nightsky?

This thing's gonna go on as long as Morsair
Cant be, JHM has a copyright on builds lasting this long ;D

Hey, I love this concept. Looks really menacing and aggressive

New stuff, what little I can do. I don't have all my stuff but I did add leading edge slats to improve low speed handling.

Lower wing

Lower wing with cool goth thumbnail

And of course more PSR(gotta get more sanding sticks)

QUESTION:
Were WW II night fighters gloss or flat black?

The hotel folks must just loooooove you.  Can just imagine the remnant outlines of model aircraft silhouettes spraypainted all over the place!

As for gloss, I don't know but I think you could gloss it up with Future for the sake of decal-application, then hit it with Testors matte spray finish afterwards.  Should leave you with a subtle (scale-realistic) semi-gloss.

John Howling Mouse , my hovercraft is also full of eels. ;D

As much as I complain about PSR you'd think I would quit carving this beast up.
Todays project ,wing leading edge  oil coolers.

More PSR tomorrow. I was distracted by a new project.

Very little work done lately as I have been slammed at work. I have been trying to PSR the oil cooler install . I hit a cool LHS Eddie M told me about and bought a cool set of micro flex sanders and danged if I didn't leave em at the jobsite, so this is half(arse) sanded. But I am making progress.

Man , that section of wing is pissin me off >:(
The top is looking smooth though

Well sort of.

Nice progress, Toolslinger! Those oil cooler inlets look the real deal! Is there any way I can convince you to keep that sweet all-black scheme?

BdaB  done ;D sort of  I have a P-61 kit I have been scavenging off of and everyone loves the nightfighter scheme so much that I am going to complete the build as a fully marked and weathered night fighter using the BW  decals. I will then post a full photo set.  I get to go home to Dallas tomorrow so I will have access to my airbrush and I think nearly a week off. I fully intend to have this a completed build next week.

Then when no one is looking after completing it in black I will completely repaint and remark it as a 3 color sea green New Zealand day fighter.

Jon C, really enjoyed the x-tbomber profile , it just so happens I have the cool wing mounted radome off a Corsair. Since it is going to (initially) be a night fighter that install goes just starboard of the leading edge slat.

Looking good! Glad to hear you made it to King's. What did you think of the display case?

Eddie, that was some cool stuff, loved the whole store.  ;D except they wouldn't GIVE  me anything :banghead:
Here is some quickies before I get to go home tomorrow.
I have the PSR PRETTY MUCH complete on this one.

I am not puttying this again dammit

Here is what I threw together for the bomb bay instead of a torpedo
90 MM automatic recoiless revolving cannon
