Much accomplished today.
Observe the coat of many colors ;D

Also some partial glazing

Look out there are cannon

I was worried about the detailing on this install , but I think this is working out

I was inspired by GTX's post of the cool Pak as well as Eddies drop down design

The coat of many colors paint job will not look as gaudy as it does now. I found a spraypaint the other day called transparent black(window tint)
I will coat the entire plane in that to blend all the different colors together.

I think you're up for the What-If B.F.G. of the Year award with this one, Toolslinger! I really like the way you have it all loaded up and ready to go!

Crazy, man----just CRAZY!

And I'm lovin' every minute of it.  Pure Whif-Candy!!

Thanks BdaB and JHM  I scaleorama'd that from a 1/35 75mm so I figured it would be 90mm at 1/48 . I just hope the paintjob will work out. :banghead:

Holy crap...

Dude, the gun is insane!  Of course, the fact that this looks like a Blackhawk Skyrocket on steroids hits just about every geek nerve I have.

Looking pretty darn cool.  I like the idea and you've really made it work!  Keep the updates coming, this one is going to be great.

Slammin on 3 projects as fast as the paint and glue will dry :banghead: :banghead:
The PTB sent me back to Austin this am but I won't quit
Of course I didn't throw everything in the truck so I have no airbrush :banghead: (again)
I stoppped and got a spray bomb of mettalic so I could preshade the main glazing

When this drys I will coat it with the transparent black I got this weekend. This will be the first test of whether that will work for the topcoat on the rest of the plane.
The BFG dropdown  is satisfactory as far as the build goes so it gets painted today

It looks relatively wicked with the lowering gear

I also installed another window (and of course forgot to bring the liquid mask) luckily there is a good LHS near.

Note that I built the nose to conform to the glazing which I scavenged from a P-61

Looking sweet.  Would you have to fire that BFG in a dive?  I think the recoil/muzzle blast would stop a plane in mid-air!  Fantastic work!

And you know that is the most powerful gun in the world, and could blow your head clean off. You must be asking yourself,....did he fire six shots or only five.....

And to tell you the truth, in all the excitement, I've forgotten myself, so you have to ask yourself just one question...Do you feel lucky? Well, do you, target?

"Excuse me, Captain.  I know this might sound silly but....can you fly?"

"Nope, never had a lesson."

This is just so much fun awaiting your thread updates, STS: more!  More!

Sotool,

As always, intriguing to say the very least and the BFG looks totally at home there.  Really excellent job of the whole mechanism in my opinion.  Was I right in hearing you say a while back that she's recoilless??

Mav
