I have made a special little 1930s 1/72 scale aircraft which i believe may be the smallest yet made for the display

Its not ready yet and i don't want to give the game away until its done but i wonder what the smallest you have made yet?

Here's a few contenders I built in 1/72:

Boeing YP-4 Bluejay:

Ansaldo Avanti:

That's a U.S. penny in the shots for scale.

I dunno about smallest, but barring Lee bringing his 1/72 Valkerie I reckon mine will be the biggest ;)

Ask Kitnut617 about big models.  The rest of us are waaaaaay behind!

I'd love to be able to build the size of Brian's 1:72 mini's but I don't know how you guys do it!

oh, it's so cute!

Is that the aModel kit? I really must get around to doing something with mine... possibly conversion to jet engines...

Until Revell does a 1/72 A-380, i think the 747 in his stash would be the biggest of any members on here!

yes it is the aModel kit but its not a kit for beginners as it took a lot of clean up and the locating pins are far to small to be of any use!
the engine with the kit is completely unusable as it was so badly made so i replaced it with a cowling and engine for a Airfix Lizzy hence the 3 bladed prop

Nice one Lenny! I really like the addition of the guns and those RAF squadron colors are very eye catching!

And then there's those spats!

Well, I'll bear that in mind when I get round to making mine.
There was a chap over on the Starship Modeler forums who converted one into the bad-guy fighter from Disney's Talespin last year, I don't think the thread about it is still around however...
