So about 10 years ago, I bought a huge box of model odds and ends from a guy on Ebay for $20.  After throwing away the really crappy stuff, I still had a really big box of parts left.  This winter, I was going to put together a box of parts for Starshipmodeler's Box 'O Stuff challenge and started digging through the stash.  As I was digging, I had an Eddie moment and the parts started talking to me.  I found two F-117 upper fuselages and they looked kind of neat together.  What to do for wings?  A-10...nope.  F-14...nope.  What to do, what to do.  Then I stumbled across the wing tips from the Testors SR-75.  Ta Da!!  And this is the result.  I've still got some putty work to do, but there really isn't much left to do.  I'm hoping to finish it off in a few weeks.

OOOOHH   Painted bright colors it could be a TTA spacecraft or flat blacks and grays a super stealth. How bout a LEO capable stealth? Whiffwood.

I like the shape, it would be cool to do the same thing but get rid of all the stealthy angles and round it out a bit. Look forward to seeing where you head with this.

They could use this in the new Six Million Dollar Man movie as a revised version of the experimental lifting body.  This is a very interesting build.

Interesting idea.  What sort of mission is it for?  Stealth bombing like the F-117 or something else?

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

I'm not sure about markings or colors.  I was envisioning it as a space fighter sorta thing.  I like the F-106 markings from the 60's where they had the fluorescent orange on the wings and tail.  Something like that might look kind of neat.  I need ideas!  Something flashy or subdued?

I'm adding a pair of laser cannons under the nose, and one on each cheek too.  They still need work though.

I'll keep you posted!

Very cool.  This one really needs that Chris Foss treatment.
