Yes, that arms race is indeed silly. Theyre both NATO members. Would be the same as Germany and France competing today, or Denmark vs Sweden vs Norway... ;D

iirc the hellenes have spent time and money upgrading their F-4E's recently and are good for several more
years yet. one of the mag's ran a feature on them when they did and also the book 'smoke trails' has some
shots in to.
