This is my long barrel leman russ.

Still have some details to add.

Widened and stretched the turret considerably. Obviously used the kit barrel and some tubing to make the barrel longer. Mantlent is being made at the moment out of sprue and putty.

Also made the main hull longer by giving it a bigger engine deck.

The commanders coupla is from a panther and I have used the kit hatch.

Still have some way to go but should have it finished this week.

You know, some of those warhammer vehicles certainly look like they are related to Hasegawa Egg Planes... (egg tanks)

Sisko you're "on track" to build another armored wonder that's sure to make us "roll over" and will be "great guns" against the competition!

I really like the side gun ports. It gives the beast a very cool retro-look. You've got a real skill at combining new and old. Bravo!

The Leman Russ always looks like it is going to tip over.  That extended engine deck might help that.

In a Wargame shop yesterday and they have the new Baneblade kit that GW just released.  Cheaper than the resin version that Forgeworld had but still $95 for some big pieces of thick plastic.  Too rich for my blood but definitely one to keep an eye on.

Have seen a scratchbuild verion of the Baneblade in 1/6th scale (orignal GI Joe size) that is remote control.  The guys used to run it around at gaming contests.  Reminds me of Gregs OGRE in size.

I like the retro look of the imperial gaurd armour.

The kits are easy to build and painting them is only limited by your imagination. They make a great break between more difficult builds.

Is this the one you where going to put in a Berlin style camo?  Would look good in Hive World battle!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Will die without understanding this world.

Well had a bit of a minor set back.

It seems that the mantlent I puttied up just didn't look right. It's hard to explain I just wasn't happy with it.

So I completely stripped it down and rebuilt it. Now it looks a bit more like the look I was after.

I will post some pics tommorrow.

Aw, tomorrow came and went but no pics...  At any rate: this is a very dynamic concept.
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

It appears I have been a bit remiss.

I am building a hobby boss kit and man it's so much fun that I have completely forgotten all other projects.

Hey, that's looking pretty nice! You should post it over on the Imperial Guard section of Work In Progress - I'm sure it'd go down well.

That muzzle brake is especially cool.

Well I know that it has been awhile since an update but I have been kinda busy with a new job.
