The tape has only just been pulled off and I have some touchups and all the weathering and dirtying up to do.

For me that is the fun bit. ;D

Last pic.

Have enjoyed this build immensly so far. It has been a real hoot. I have some other things to finish but I plan to do another 40K armour job in the future.

I'm thinking of a super heavy Tau tank something of the size and fire power of a Baneblade.

Stunning paint scheme.  Lots of work with masking to make that one look good.

That's an all-around stunner, Sisko! The paint scheme is a real show of your incredible talent!!!

Now that is impressive - will look even better when its weathered ;)

Well it is done!!

Weathered with pastels and citadel inks. Testors dull coat to seal it in.

I really enjoyed this build it was a hoot.

That's it for armour builds. My next will be back to the skys and beyond that the stars await

I thought at one stage that I might have over done the weathering but after the clear dull coat it looked a lot better.

I didn't bother with decals because this is suposed to be a sniper unit that is used in urban warfare. It is used to take out key targets with it's ultra range weapon. It would not be used in large scale actions so markings would not be as important for unit control.

The fact that I was so focused on the masking of the scheme and the weathering and forgot them has absolutly nothing to do with it

Turned out great Sisko!  Fantastic stuff!

I really like 40K armour, a quick look on Forge World today shows they've released a Reaver Titan in 28mm scale.  Time to sell the house.....
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Looks good.  Nice job with the finish and weathering, very realistic.

Wow!! I have a soft spot for 40K Imperial Armour (which I occasionally build as a break from my normal Soviet aircraft) and this is one of the best conversions that I've seen. Beautiful finish

I love em too ;D

The scope for kit bashing and modifications is endless.

I tend to build these after a particularly difficult build as a way to clear my mind. The next one I want to build is a heavy imperial tank based on the chassis of a balisk.

But first I have a few other kits to finish.
