Dang!  Guess you have to register to see it.  Anyway, it's the Battle of Britain camo Hawk that will be on the UK airshow circuit this season.  I think Nev has posted it in the Plane Spotting forum too along with the nice looking Tucano for this year.

They are painting a Hawk in this scheme

And selling paintings of this

" They Can Because They Think They Can " - Michael Rondot

The scheme celebrates 19 Squadron equipping with Spitfires in August 1938. XX184 will enter the paint shop at RAF Valley as a black trainer and will emerge in approximately three weeks as a fully camouflaged Hawk in the original colours of a Battle of Britain Spitfire as the design below depicts.

"As and when more information becomes available it will be posted on the below web site, www.19squadron.co.uk, which has been formed especially for this occasion and will be live from monday. You will be able to order one of the limited edition prints available and calendars that will be produced to celebrate the Squadrons glorious history.

All of the proceeds will of course go to the squadrons chosen charity, the Special Care Baby Unit at Bangor."

This is a very unusual move by the MoD, a great piece of work by the guys on the squadron, and will benefit a good cause.

Now that is just totally cool! And since I don't build modern jets, is there a 48th scale kit??

That's one of the hottest schemes ever! I swear, it would even make a Yugo look good.

Why do I have the sudden urge to replicate that picture in plastic???
If you love, love without reservation; If you fight, fight without fear - THAT is the way of the warrior

If you go into battle knowing you will die, then you will live. If you go into battle hoping to live, then you will die

nah... use a proper fighter like a Typhoon...

Mossie

It'd be nice to see a Typhoon in a Typhoon scheme.  I don't think any of the current Typhoon squadrons operated Typhoons in WWII though?
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
