Hello chaps.
Firstly my sincere apologies for the lack of progress on the P1154, and my lack of feedback on the subject. I think I bit off more than I could chew, put it on the back burner, then had family illness, the Mother of all extensions (had to move out of our house three weeks ago having been taken over by builders), a full time job with my boss signed off sick for the last two months etc, need I go on?
I hope to be able to put a little time in on it this weekend, and all things being well should have a finished product soon (I'm not giving a time scale, as they don't seem to mean much on this one).

Some of you may have noticed my 1/72 Hawker P1081 announced on SAMI, well yes its the next project due and I hope to have it on sale at SMW08, with suitable RAF whif decals that might go some way to make up for my shabby performance on the 1154. I also have stalled plans for some whif weapons which I hope to progress on soon (had a lovely time at Costford the other week, first show I have been able to get to since Telford last year).

In the meantime the next decal release is in its early stages and should be ready mid May. This is a generic sheet of pale blue / pink roundels and pale blue codes to fit the Vulcan, Victor, Valiant, Buccaneer and TSR-2, along with suitably sized serials. These may be of use on the SMW08 RAF theme for any counterfactual Nuclear bombers currently on the workbenches out there....

More news to follow when I get it. Thanks for your patience.

As they say Colin s**t happens - can't be helped.

Good to see you at Cosford and for those who havn't seen them the new Brits at Sea "Transfers" sheet is an absolute goldmine

Chris
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

No Problems Colin, we know what the problems were with the masters, otherwise it would have been pretty straight forward to issue it just after SMW. Its more important to have a product your happy with than to issue something that didnt meet your standards.

As for the Whif Weapons, you should have stepped into the room across from the table at cossie as that where the Red Dean and some other missiles are located  :banghead: I forgot to mention that when i was down there but you were doing brisk business on the decal front at the time.

The Anti-Flash set is a good move and should be popular.

Cheers

Good to hear you're still at it. I'm looking forward to the whif weapons.

Thanks for all your kind words guys, don't worry Geoff, I did manage to snap a few photo's of some potential whif weapons (but I did miss the Red Dean!)
I'm actually looking forward now to finishing the 1154, motivation is important after all, and the decal sheet sales do tend to help funding the whif stuff to!
I'm glad the Anti-flash will be appreciated, does look good on a Vulcan, especially with two Skybolts attached (nw theres an idea....)

If you want more photos, I've got a few of the Red Dean and SRAAM, plus the whif items in the Bristol collection: an SRAAM canister and an S225X missile.

An anti flash sheet would indeed be most welcome, bearing in mind that the only other one released was by ModelArt and was 144th.

Didn't Filightdec/Fineline do one? They did a 1/144th one, sure they did a 1/72

Long OOP anyway, so a new one would be welcome!
It's not an effing  jump jet.

some low vis and anti flash roundels and codes and number would help colin.

thank you for thinking of the idea.

i do have the fineline sheet but i am sure it was never released in 1/72. iirc it was to complement the
welsh models 1/144 V-bombers vacforms as fineline did some vulcan markings on one of their 1/144
sheets.

Seriously though, a Vulcan Skybolt set would be welcome, bearing in mind that the only one available is the Sharkit one and his resin is generally horrible...  Two missiles, plus pylons and with alternate nose shapes (AFAIK there were two but there could have been more).

They're damn expensive too, around thirty quid for two Skybolts.  Cost has put me off a few of Sharkits kits unfortunately, otherwise I'd probably have picked up at least the Avro Silverbug & a Lockheed L-133.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I built that L133 kit a few years ago.....for what it cost me.....well lets just say basic desk top model.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

Hmmmm.  Thanks Martin, I'll not bother then even if I suddenly feel a bit flush, which isn't often!

Thanks to a generous decal re-stock order from Mr Hannants, I now have the funds for he P1154 kit to continue, and some time as the home extension work is also nearly done. So next couple of months might see a production kit ready for shows coming up in September onwards, if not definately for SMW08. In the intervening time resin cost has gone up by 15%, however I plan to keep the price at £34 (£30 for SIG members).

Good news! Can we start placing orders yet?
