Now I like that, colurs VERY reminiscentof the Ka50 demonstrator from a few years back.... sort of a Lend-Lease Shturmovik ! (yes I know Lend Lease applies to US material !!)

Talking of Lend-Lease AND Shturmovik's........ Isn't there a section of the RAF 100 build for a 'Soviet Influenced' RAF..... Hmmmmmm, 1:48 Italeri IL2.M3 6 Squadron, Italy, 1944, Hmmmmmm

Ian

Ian, you have GOT to stop thinking like this..you now it gives you bad headaches..

They are fun arn't they.

Your'e scheme is "similar" to one I'm using on a Soviet Typhoon, not quite as much sand though

Yes they are.

Sorry to steal your idea but I found some Soviet decals and thought well why not!

No problems - mine will be similar 'ish but the armament is different. It does look the part though dosn't it
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

And here she is in all her glory.

I weathered her a bit more with some pastels and glued on all the gear doors.

Another coat of flat clear and thats it.

BIG FUN!!!!

As you can see the kit has no real cockpit detail to bother with so why bother? Paint it black and keep on moving.

This would have to be the quickest build I have ever done.

In fact in the last 4 months I have built as many kits as I built in the whole of last year.

Nice job on the Typhoon.  It really looks good in the Soviet camo & markings.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

Nice build of a nice kit. I love the scheme you chose, it looks so right!

Actually, I have a couple of them ready to build, I think the only thing that lets them down is that the canopy seems to me to be too tall.

Simply stunning, Ian! You've got a fantastic eye for matching camo and marking schemes with the perfect airframe!

Excellent!

Said it before, and I'll say it again, splendid job.

I have to say it though, the aircraft looks somewhat strange to me. It looks a bit short or the canopy could be a bit to high for the body, or, it could be the angle of the picture though.
All of the above or my eyesight that isn't to good.

But still, regardless of that, a job well done

I think that you are right the canopy is a bit on the tall side.

That's because it was a soviet blown canopy which is taller than the British one.

That's really great.  Love the scheme and the bristling weapons load.
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

Came out great! I think you made the right choice for the markings
