Here are some in progress pics of the hobby boss typhoon.

It has taken longer to paint than it ever did to put together.  It has no interior to speak of, so I just painted it black.

The camo scheme is completely random and just came out of my head. I am not sure of the markings. Maybe some made up country using them post war.

This kit has been so much fun that I virtually dropped everything else I was working on

They are fun arn't they.

Your'e scheme is "similar" to one I'm using on a Soviet Typhoon, not quite as much sand though
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Man that's one gorgeous camo scheme! I can't wait to see your next update!

I've got a Hobby Boss Typhoon (my 3rd Hobby Boss kit) but haven't built it yet (and it won't be a whif).  Looks typical Hooby Boss (frustrating that there's no tie up between the props and markings) - how was it to put together? ;D ;D

These kits almost build themselves.

It did require some gaps to be filled but it was quite a simple affair. the fit was really very good. Main thing to watch for was the propeller to hub assmebly calls for some metal shaft that was not present in my kit?????????

The top fuselage to wing fit was good only a little Mr surfacer 500 here to fill a slight gap.

Some clean up to get rid of a bit of flash.

These kits would be ideal for first time modellers.

That scheme looks a little Angolan (see here:  http://www.cbrnp.com/profiles/quarter4/angola.htm), maybe do it as one of their birds or someone else in Africa?

Sorta makes me think of some of the camo patterns tested in the 1940 US Army war games.  Like something on a P35 or P36.

Too cool! I just picked up this kit this morning  I just needed something quick and easy to get me out of the rut I'm in, I've been staring at all the kits I have in progress and drawing a blank so I thought a quickie might help...haven't decided on a paint scheme yet but I was going to go with markings from a fictional country. If my paint turns out half as nice as yours I'll be happy.

I haven't started the assembly yet but I'm impressed with the kit, sure it's a simple build but it's nicely detailed (just what the doctor ordered). I also picked up a Focke wulf, I see more of these kits in my future

Look forward to seeing what you do for markings Sisko.

Yes they are.

Sorry to steal your idea but I found some Soviet decals and thought well why not!

Still have a bit more weathering to do and the final coat of flat but this baby should be finished by tommorrow.

It certainly will not be my last hobby boss kit. ;D

Now I like that, colurs VERY reminiscentof the Ka50 demonstrator from a few years back.... sort of a Lend-Lease Shturmovik ! (yes I know Lend Lease applies to US material !!)

Talking of Lend-Lease AND Shturmovik's........ Isn't there a section of the RAF 100 build for a 'Soviet Influenced' RAF..... Hmmmmmm, 1:48 Italeri IL2.M3 6 Squadron, Italy, 1944, Hmmmmmm

Looking good Sisko. The markings and camo look like they are made for eachother. Splendid job.
