NARSES2

Been building the Hobby Boss He 162. It's a nice little build but there are some problems with it's "look" ? Stands to high on the undercarriage and the canopy/front end looks wrong, but what the heck as I said it's a nice little build.

First one up.

Nakajima Ki 231 (no idea Ki numbers went that high). Allied code name "Henry" of 17 Sentai Narimasu Japan, Summer 1946.

Came as a nasty suprise to the first heavy US air-raids on the Home Islands.

NARSES2

Painted using a mixture of White Ensign Enamels and Tamiya Acrylics, markings from an RS Models Ki 60.

Don't usually base my models but she's a tail sitter and there's no place for nose weight

Next up is He 162 Salamander  Blue 4 (Helga) 102/2 Squadron Hungarian AF, Budapest Spring 1946

NARSES2

Painted with a mixture of Xtracrylic and Tamiya, markings from the spares box and a Fine Moulds Me 109 G6

NARSES2

Finally Caproni Ca 206 Salamandra of 352 Squadron, 155 Grupo, 51 Stormo Sardinia Spring 46.

Based on a profile by Glanini

NARSES2

Painted with White Ensign, markings from a Sky Mc 205 sheet (great value for Wiffing) with the smoke rings from Mike Grant Decals. Learnt a lot about using the latter on this build (the reason I cleaned my work area) and they are very good, will be getting some more.

NARSES2

Finally the 3 together. They just need to have some scenic work done to the base - nothing other then railway "flock" when I get it.

One other lesson from these builds is that now I'm properly retired I'm going to sign up for a beginers photography cours and learn how to use my camera !

Very neat - unmanned Kamikaze version for Japan??.
Are the 'problems with it's "look" ' nose-related?  Looks a little longer ahead of the jet intake than my old Frog/Revell kit does. ;D ;D

Well, I thought that Hungarian one was pretty good Chris, but then I saw the Italian one!

One of your best ever methinks

Niiice!! Great squiggle/spaghetti camouflage!!

The nose does seem to be abit longer, abit "pointier"...and perhaps the u/c is a tad on the tall side...

But excellent work!! Keep it up!!

Ditto!  Good work Chris, the He-162 isn't a favourite of mine but I love these!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Very well done, Narses! I'm especially impressed with your fine work on the camo for the Salamandra! I'm sure these will get plenty of looks and kudos at the next show!
