hi all
because a small accident with my leclerc...yes...its badly damaged during trasporting it... :banghead:
I decided to start a new project...
the story...
during the north african campaign some tigers are shipped to the states and after studying these it was decided to use the 88mm canon and a new vehicle as a tank destroyer...
because it was of the utmost urgency it was decided to use available  already in production parts.
so I made my suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper sherman from some left over hvss sherman parts from trupmy kits and because the suspension was not complete  I completed it with other vvss wheels.its not seeable behind the correct parts :)
the turret is not my definitely idea...I will made another one in the design of the M10 type.
so the work will follow...
best regards!

oh! the planned engine is the 2600 series one :) 1200 HP is more than enough....
the turret is of the size of the tiger turret.the canon will be used from the revell tiger.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

The engines spit out fire, I'm pushed back in my chair
The pressure gives me thrills as we climb in the air

Very nice idea and model I can see why it's supersized I would imagine the 88 recoil would knock over a regular Sherman
Yeah,I know the load is late. But the voices keep telling me to pull over and clean the guns.

Inspired!!!!!!

I have a sherman without a turret and wass considering something like this.

Nice to see it realised by someone else.

I was planning to use a howitzer instead for the BFG.

Just an 88? Are you sure you don't want to go for a 105?

The M36B1 Tank Destroyer was a standard M4A3 Sherman hull with the 90mm turret of the M36 (itself an M4 based vehicle), so there is no practical need to increase the hull size of the Sherman to carry an 88 or 90mm gun.

BTW Chrysler was awarded the contract to develop the HVSS on October 1, 1941. HVSS and the 23 inch track were introduced into production in August of 1944.

the idea was to create a "sherman" as a TIGER-KNOCKER.
the canon would be produced "in license" and the vehicle have to be build and pressed into service quick as possible....only 20 or so would be produced as test vehicles and send to europe during the italian campaign()
here is my update...
comparised to a panther its not more so big...?

wolfik

I know about the turret size and the impossibility of the opening the hatches .I think about another gun mantlet (maybe like the one from tigerII).my story was its because the oryginal turret was finally found to be impractically in servise during testing the vehicle and another turret from an artillery vehicle based on another sherman project was quickly installed to fulfil the field tests in action.
Im thinking about a lenghtening of the gun and use of the jagdpanther gun from a dragon vehicle (in any panther are three guns included! :-)...) we will see.
the hatches will be made this weekend.hope to finish it next week....
