Hey Everbody,

sorry its been a while but things have baan a bit hectic to say the least. I was lookin at some of my old kits the other day and i had an idea inspired by the "Sea Javelin" , it is going to be a 1:72 tamiya F-84 but with a neval twist :D tha kit was half started but not complete so i re worked the cockpit and she is nearly reasy for the classic Extra Dark Sea Grey over white :) im quite exited about this one i must say . i will post some pictures this evening to follow this post.

All the best ,

Wouldn't it be better in EDSG over Sky with the high demarcation line  ?

hey Geoff thanks for the advise its one i will consider :D , the first inital reason for the edsg over white was in a way linked to the hawker sea haw becasue in some respects the shapes of the two aircraft are similar? it would just give me an idea of the patterns of the grey/white on the airframe if you see where im coming from ?

all the best
Steve.

Oh i know where your coming from, its just the low demarcation EDSG over White came into effect in the late 50's on tne Sea Venom and Sea Hawks when the new Scimitar, Sea Vixan and Buccaneer were just entering service. The F-84 is more Attacker era and would probably suite the EDSG over Sky with the high demarcation.

thats a good piont i did not think about dates etc .. if i where to use edsg over sky would the camo pattern be the same as edsg over white?

Thanks alot .

Well withe the EDSG over Sky only the upper surfaces would be EDSG along with about the upper quarter of the fuselage sides, the rest being in Sky in a similar manner to the Sea Fury and Gannet. The EDSG over white only Upper surfaces and sides would be EDSG with only the lower surfaces being white as per the Sea Vixen that you know.

Cheers
