I've started a weekend build to give myself a sense that I'm actually getting something done. I'll bet without actually having to say what the idea is that someone can guess what I'm doing ;D. More photos later today.

Seeing Eddie's other work, this should be good.  But the important question in this group is will it have spats, T-tail or tip-tanks?

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

Or floats, parasite fighters and rocket boosters... And will the scale be changed so it's actually a giant 1930s pulp magazine flying battleship?
There are no good kits, bad kits or grail kits, just kitbash fodder.

WOW! Keep'em comin'! These are great ideas!

Unfortunately, This is going to a be a very simple whif of my version of the 1st Fat Albert. Sorry for the let down.:(

No disappointment at all Eddie, in fact, you can get creative and fit it with a bunch of RATO bottles just like the BA Fat Albert C-130 uses for demonstrating those short take offs.

What scale is your model?  Hard to determine from the image.

It's 1/144. I'll see what I can do about the RATO bottles.

Since it's Mother's Day, I'll be gone most of the day and have to finish later. Here's what I've got so far. ;D

Eddie, you put that on a table at any show and I guarantee that more than a few people would say to their doubting buddy "No, I'm pretty sure I've seen pictures of that." BRILLIANT!

Especially as the Blues did use the R4D as a support aircraft.

If you look up "slick" in the dictionary, it should have a picture of this stunning model next to the definition! Superlative work, Eddie! The Blue Angels colors are a natural! My hat's off to you!
