This is from the anime movies Patalbor I and II

When I saw this on Hobby Link Japan I had to have one.

Think I might do this one in Isreali markings

Got one of those on order. Awesome-looking thing. The Jigabachi from Ghost In The Shell is pretty cool too.
Some of my models can be found on my Flickr album >>>HERE<<<

That AH-1Z Super Cobra is completely incorrect. This (presumable not a Tamigawa kit) features a double bubble canopy, while the real AH-1Z only has a single canopy. Note how the tail has been put together completely wrong, and wheels arent supposed to be mounted on the stub wings. Also note that the rotor has bearings, while the real thing is bearingless :banghead:
This kit is so WRONG, that only a gastly whatiffer could like it >:(

Sweet.  Is that first one from the second Patlabor movie?  I seem to remember similar gunships popping out of con-ex containers to terrorize the city?

Sisko

I think that it is from the second movie.

I saw some where that it was supposed to be in the first one as well. I didn't see it though.

Rotorhead where did you get the Japanese Decals from?

The 'meatballs' came from a SWEET 1/144th scale A6M2 kit, the JGSDF script came from a Fujimi sheet I bought that has titling for all JSDF services, and the rest of it came from an Italeri MD-500/MH-6 kit.

Also, yes, the Hellhound is from the second movie; there is a drawing in the instructions that shows the birds deploying from a drop-sided CONEX box, which explains the folding wings and rotors.

PanzerWulff

I have the Tachikoma I just haven't decided wether to finish it as a whiff or not

Well in two nights and I finished my jigabachi.

I was away interstate for training and I built it in my hotel room. I thought that I would get it started at least and then I could finish it when I got back. I didn't think that it would go together as easily as it did.

This would have to be the best engineered kit I have ever built, bar none!!!!!!! Some real though went into how the individual parts went together and many of the seams and joints were hidden by further assembly.

The kit could be built without glue (I used glue for rigidity) and the parts just fit together flawlessly and tightly. Test ftting was a challange because once pushed together it was hard to get the apart.

Almost no filler was used on the kit. The only part that did need it was the rotorhead and that is because I stuffed something up during assembly.

Currently it is awaiting paint. I have to finish my b-36, but it is so good a finish in it's raw unpainted form it is in my display case already.

Does anyone know if they make kits of any of the other helos in GITS:SAC?  For instance, I wouldn't mind having one of the sniper helos, the so-called Kenbishi Oniyama:

It's got intermeshing rotors like a Kaman design, with a 30mm cannon out front, but it was used for sniping in two different episodes of the first series.

I'd also like a decent model of the Multiped tank, but that's for another thread.
