Not much of  backstory really. Perhaps following the military action taken by the US against UK and French forces in the med to intervene during Suez, the UK fell out with the US, booted out the Tories,  elected a succession of very left wing governments, expelled US forces from bases in the UK, left NATO and became non-aligned. "Neither Washington nor Moscow but International Socialism" said some at the time.
In the interests of International friendship the RAF acquired some SU-7s....

Really this is a SU-7 kit from an East German manufacturer picked up at the Hinckley show for 3 quid. Very crude and with useless decals so I used some Airfix Hunter decals and practiced some pre-shading for the first time. It won't win any prizes but was fun.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

Great looking model Van

Now if it's a fitter which particular "Union" Squadron would it belong to ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
