JHM , I would never do that to you.  Where do you think the inspiration came from?  This is my favorite place to be.  I was forced by the shapes to put them together, then when I did they were lacking.... something , but I got to looking at the solid piece that made up the tail of the Corsair and then I saw one of your T-tail F-16'S and there it was. I couldnt not do it.

When I bought the Corsair  I spotted a cheap Stuka so I had to throw BdaB a bone

Progress made the last couple of days. PSR of course

I have also done some work replacing the flaps and speed brakes( which went onto the Skyrocket)

I made the flaps from a B-25 and the speed brakes from the Stuka that donated the spats

I did quite a bit of work on the engine and prop as well as the weapons

The Bushmaster will be driven by a 14 cylinder 1400 horsepower 2 row radial with a three blade prop and an aerodynamic cowling with a cooling fan

It will look like this mounted

The Bushmaster will mount as standard armament a .50 cal and a 20 mm in each wing, the Gunslinger will mount a high velocity 30 mm cannon pod under each wing

The Allies will all of course adopt the cannon pod installation as tankbusters and bomber interceptors as the very powerful engine  gives the aircraft a top speed of 325 mph fully loaded

Eddie M.

How can I describe what I think of this project? BADASS,pure and simply.

I have to ask. What does the maid think when she comes in to clean and sees your production line?

I stay in one of those long term ,extended stay joints that only does the cleaning once a week. I actually clean up after all the carving pretty often as I am used to doing major construction work and then making the space ready for use the next day. It's a pain in the arse (there you don't have to edit me) but I'm used to it.

Thanks for the encouragment. I'm really having fun with this one. Before I discovered this place I never would have thought of doing an aircraft with spats or a T-tail.

Looks great! I assume that the Soviets would demand a lot of them for tankbusting

sotoolslinger

I plan to have everyone using them as ground attack/ troop support platforms. In addition to the cannons and guns it will have hardpoints for bombs and rockets.
