If thats a tannish shade of tyre grey, that`ll be acceptable.  ;D
You could even go a few yellow/brown shades lighter if you like.

Wow is that nice!!! The desert scheme totally works! You really nailed the color! Now, may I suggest mid-1943 U.S. markings (star and bar with red outline)?

Awesome work, Toolslinger! You can come and build a model in my parking lot whenever you like, assuming you can find an open space.

They got me with that one too. The way I understand it is South East Asia camo, such as this F-4 at the Wings Over Houston airshow.

Got it, thanks Eddie, it's going to be similar colors, but different patterns.

Well not too much work done today , just some detailing as I have to start a new job tonight at 6:00 pm. :banghead: :banghead:
I installed the braces from a Stuka for the Ttail as it is supposed to be an older design

I also scavenged the radiators as oil coolers for the radial

I noticed that the prop shafts off a B-25 looked like cool cannons so on they went

The plane will also get a .50 cal and one of my .33/40's in each wing and of course the BF 30mm pods slung
Oh I installed the canopy too

That's some excellent progress, Toolslinger! I really like the struts, engine, the guns, the canopy, and oh yes, those spats! I think it all looks spot-on for the era!
