Nearly there!  She's looking good, the bubble top & three tone camo giving a very different look to a common or garden Hurri.  Looking forward to see her done!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

No pics today, but a small update.

I've had a few windows of time here and there between teaching and gathering paperwork together to apply for a business license to sit down and do a bit of model work.

I got the canopy trimmed and cemented on and painted its framing.

I Got some weathering done and a bit of blending in the camoflage also done.

I also found a decent tailwheel for it and got it installed ( just have to make tail wheel doors now)

Also have a bit of an extra backstory written about this particular plane itself and the man who flew it.

Hopefully more pics before too much longer.

Well, after a fair amount of time passing without being able to give much to this "summer" project  I've managed to get her closer to completion.

Here's the latest batch of pics after some weathering. The prop is still temporarily stuck on, the canopy is glued down with the framing painted and the main landing gear are on the bench (er, kitchen table) being painted.

All commentary welcomed as always!

Absolutely top-notch, upnorth! You've really captured the look of a Czech fighter! I can't quite shake how it reminds me of a Yak and I imagine this beauty will cause quite a bit of discussion when on display.

Looks good.  And if you don't tell them what it is, I'm sure you can thoroughly confuse some of the JMN's.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

A great rivet-counter's nightmare!  It sorta bends your eyes wrong, with that blended new/old thing going on.
