Will die without understanding this world.

Bit of a bump here just to let those who are following the project know its not dead in the water.

Unfortunately, not enough progress to bother photographing has occured since the last update. I've taken on a few new classes so a bit less of my time has been going to the "Bubblecane".

Anyway, I've pretty much finished the main landing gear, did a wash on them not long ago and just have to find a window of time to stick them on the plane.

I've been playing around with a bit of the backstory for the individual plane and its pilot more than anything build related lately.

Hopefully will have a proper update with pics before long.

Another bump here:

I'm quite close to finished now and hope to have it done while my girlfriend is off on a business trip to South Africa later this month.

Refresh your memories and stay tuned!

Gives the ol' girl an entirely new graceful look; looking forward to seeing her completed.

With any luck at all she will be completed over the course of the next week but pics will have to wait as the camera is traveling with my girlfriend.

OK folks, almost a full year after this increasingly innacurately dubbed "summer project" started, I'm calling her done!

As for what went into her (all 1/72):
Heller/Smer Hurricane II (forward fuselage, tail, wings, prop, main landing gear)
Heller/Smer Yakovlev Yak-3 (aft fuselage)
4x bomb halves from a Bilek Su-22 kit (underwing cannon blisters)
Quickboost resin Merlin exhausts and 20mm cannon barrels
Squadron vacformed Hawker Tempest canopy (modified)
Evergreen stock for the tail wheel door and canopy rails
Tail wheel from spares box
Extratech PE seat belts and components from spares box for cockpit fittings
Tally Ho! Czechoslovak Spitfire decals for main markings
Extratech Czechoslovak regimental insignia
Decals from spares for gun tapes and the "6" under the nose

I hope she was worth following and worth the wait. Thanks to all who followed along and kept my enthusiasm up.
As always, all comments welcomed.

Nice Job!

What's the dark blotch under the canopy on the left side? It's a different color from anything else.
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

I'll be answering that question when I post pics and the backstory as an article for the site homepage. Stay tuned.

Thanks for all the great comments everyone!

Thanks, that's a great compliment when folks think your work is bigger than it actually is!
