Putty-Sand-Repeat.

The bane (sp?) of Whiffers everywhere.  Except for Rafa, who actually enjoys it!

You saw Tom's avatar GIF, right?  That was my reaction as well.  Yikes!   :o

While doing standard PSR (and getting towards the end) I made the mistake of noticing that a scale 20 mm cannon would be too big for the wing :banghead:

So of course I stole someone elses idea (I'm looking at you JHM) and added wing bulges

Still sanding they won't be that horrribly big when finished

:banghead: :banghead:
Why do I insist on being realistic

Weapons installation

2 25 mm cannon and 4 15 mm machine guns

Color test on undersides(also practice using my new airbrush)

See a huge flaw on port wing :banghead: :banghead:

Hey, big-boy, is that a bulge on your wing or are you just glad to see me?  ;-)

Very nicely executed.  Adds contouristical (yeah, it's a word) interest, too.

MMMM CONTOURISTICAL  I am glad to see you but when my builds see something like the Superbolt the bulge disappears and they slink away in embarrassment

Good God I finally figured out how to do this

Now can anybody tell me how to make the cool markings and roundels as printable onto decal sheet
This is ARC's cool profile I will be using to mark the Mstang

First off, let me say that the three guns at the wing crank is pure genius!

As for home-printed decals, I've heard the Testor's Ink Jet decal system you can find at Wally World works. From what I've read, it doesn't do white and you may want to coat your printed sheet with Future before using them.

First off: don't be a wimp-----just handpaint them!  Oh, there's me coat!

I've used 4 different brands of decal-printing media and usually end up going right back to Testors.  Use their fixative and let it dry at least two days (I usually wait a whole week).  And I always use Microscale's "Liquid Decal Film." Otherwise, I find the Testors film simply tears too easily.    If you go on the "Links" thread here, you'll see where I posted the link to a site that has a bazillion such markings, too.  Good for decent-rez downloads of all sorts of insignias----I'd be willing to bet those markings of yours are on that site somewhere.

Edit:  Oh yeah, the Testors decal sheets do come in both white and clear.  Use the white for backgrounds that have to be white or printed yellow (or other very light hues).

Thanks BdaB but you assume way too much competence on my part.I am just barely computer literate.
Today , after many attempts, I finally figured out how to copy the ARC profile to a jpeg , to my pictures, and then to my Photobucket
I can now post the image but .....
How to isolate the roundels and cool black eagle(or hawk???) and then modifiy it to size to print out
Way beyond my knowledge.
My idea for the roundels is to cut out a mask from a US roundel, paint it on in black and then apply a white outlined Hinomaru in the center.
The BIG problem is the cool German bird, I can draw and paint but I don't know if I can do both at that scale :banghead: :banghead:

Isn't that German bird on a Starfighters decal sheet?  Monogram's old kit with the Luft markings or a "Victory Productions" sheet.  Let me go have a look...
