RAF F-14 FGR3 ADV fighter

Iran's F-14's eventually were grounded due to them not having the spares but they tried to buy stolen plans from ze Ruzzkies back in the late 80's/Mid 90.s & the have been reports in the Aviation press that they have at least one flying,weather as a Missile platform or as a radar platform is'nt known...



Anyway,I was'nt happy with the black canopy so I have just re-done it in a Blue/Grey,extending the colour down the middle & onto the wings.Nxt to be done when that's dry is touch up on the nose.I relaced the bad seats (It's a Italieria Kit) with ones from a Italeria A6 Intruder.

Wasn't the word Tommy a German slang in WW2 for British troops?

So a British F-14 would be a Tommy Tommy! A Tom Tom! Tom Squared! 2 X Tom!
