The RULES!!!!

Da Rulz, per those pimp-daddy mods of the build:

1  All models should where possible be accompanied by the profile it's based upon, or at least the link to it.

2  Already built models can be entered in the 'inspiration' gallery

3  'Just started' models can be allowed - mod's will make a decision - judgement call, I know, but it may encourage a few more entries.

4  Prizes - Ian sends to UK & Europe winners, Baz does USA & Canada and any Aussie or New Zealand winner will receive an e-mail with a photograph of the kit he/she would have been sent, had they lived in a reasonable location.

5  Finished models thread separate from build-up thread, better still, use the existing build-up thread for GB entries.

6  There is no rule number 6.  Do not ask about rule number 6.

7  A degree of flexibility allowed, however the final model must be the same type as the profile - eg Gekko's MiG 21's..... Using a different version of MiG 21 (PF instead of MF) may be OK, using a MiG 23 isn't.

8  Entry deadline is 2359 HRS GMT September 30, 2009 (heh, heh); Winner will be determined via online vote/poll shortly thereafter.

Colours - always open to interperatation, but common sense applies.  It depends upon how far the builder has veered (accidentally or deliberately) from the profile.

Markings - self evident really, the 'stickers' on the final model should match as close as possible the markings on the profile. However, if, say, the side number on the model is 132 and the profile is 123, no one's going to cry.

And dat's it!  Have fun, get creative, and build!!!!

Anthonygp and mods, I just started the Hellstorm this am (my time in  the colonies) see my thread for time stamps. I am actually not that computer literate. The build is one by GTX on his thread and also on the Quick Scalefest report in Everyday chat but I am not real sure how to link the profile to my thread. LITTLE HELP Please  :blink:Also do I just start a new thread on group builds cause I have an entry ;D

Profiles Tribute Group Build
"Life imitates art." Or something... Take any profile put up on the site at one time or another (or on another site) and build a model to match it! The build will run from June 15th to September 15th, 2008!

That's good to know that we don't have to follow a profile exactly - a couple I'm thinking of have little things I want to change to make them as "realistic" as possible - eg wrong squadron for that camo etc, updated armaments etc.

Has anybody done a profile of the Gripen yet? Viggen?

AeroplaneDriver

If we ever come up with a prize for 'Best GB Rule" then Rule 4 will win hands down.   ;D

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Maverick

Trip,

I did seven various profiles of the Viggen on my profile thread & I think Black Ops might have done a few as well.

Mods, I plan to do this

Painted like this

The mustang at the very bottom

Will this be eligible? Is it started too long ago? Is it too far from a real Mustang?

If builder receives a kit, the artist should receive a sheet of paper or an blank jpg file. ;D ;D ;D ;D
