Anyway, I did some profiles for said build. As I 'needed' and excuse to buy this kit 

Originally it was going to be Israeli, and has sat with a wee bit of tan paint on it for a lot of years. But I liked the idea of Iranian better. Just seems to make more sense, in the current political climate. I actually think the Taiwanese idea made more sense, having the a/c foisted on them by the Chinese...

Thanks guys. She's pretty much done. Just need to source out some decals and then add the canopy. I might busy up the cockpit just a wee bit more as well.

Long lost thread about to be finalized here ! The original Isreali plan is now Iranian. So what.....

Just mucking about with the camo. I hate it when you think somat is done, and then look at it too much. That's the problem I'm having now. If I'd had the decals in hand already, it would be over and done with. But now I've started changing the pattern, and I'm not sure if I like the changes !

I lost the little gun pod thing from the original kit. I said to myself  "open the spares box and grab the first thing that looks reasonably close" and voila ! This broken fuel tank half combined with a few bits of styrene rod.....



Glued in place....



Add a little paint....close enough for this build !

Added the ords and thought I was done, then, as I said, I looked at it too much....These are the 'before' pics. As you can see, the tan on the nose looks a little too much. Or at least that's what I thought....might have looked ok once decaled, but too late now ! The after pics will have to wait, as I'm currently stuck out of town working for a few days.

I'm still here guys (almost everday) and I'm Green Dragon (sometimes Azure Dragon or Green Draken if someone beat me to it!) on most of the sites I'm a member of. Did the Flying Leopard for BM's What If Group Build and got the Hi-Decal sheet Mossie mentioned for it but ended up using only the tail flags, all the rest came from 30+ year old Airfix F-5A and Matchbox Phantom sheets.

Forgot to say I'm looking forward to seeing your Air Force one finished Captain! I wish I'd busied the cockpit on mine, it looks really bare.
