Mention was made about a Viking Amphibian idea over on Sentinel Chicken's thread this morning. http://www.whatifmodelers.com/index.php/topic,8600.135.html

Perfect. Absolutely just the inspiration I needed.   
Threw this together in under two hours.    The hull is a scrap 'Flagon' fuselage, and the outer floats are Harvard gunpods.  Loading ramp at rear, as per JP's diagrams.

I'll be filling and sanding for a couple of days now.      Thing is, I'm open to ideas on role, user, schemes.  Could be a Caribbean island hopper, firebomber, military, rescue, luxury toy... I dunno.  Do want to get a quick result though.  Like next weekend.

Spooky.  Before reading that, I just rested a Bucc bulged bomb bay over the centreline, gives it a very hunchbacked appearance and SCREAMS 'firebomber' at me.   With plumbing (contrail tubes) poking from the rear loading door. 

Also now thinking of having fixed outer floats to allow for winglets.  I am to winglets  what BdB is to Spats. 

I can get a rattle can of red, or should it be dayglo orange?  But need some nice big numbers tho....  Which one to choose?....

Thanks for the hull offer, but the Flagon fuselage is a perfect fit, and with a bit of shaping should be OK. 

Thinking of putting a FLIR on the top of the nose, for detecting the 'hot spots' through a forest canopy.

The Bucc part is now on the spine as a saddletank.

Now time to get mellow to counteract the monotony of putty/sand/repeat.
