That is looking very cool Zeke  There is a weird disconnect looking at this build  I remember putting it together but you have put your own stamp on it  Beauty  I don't remember if I told you but the canopy is coated with liquid mask.

Nice tag-team work, gentlemen! The concept is totally killer, but I really think it could use more guns. ;)

Thank you sotoolslinger, it's a fine joint effort I think...and yeah, I noted that the canopy is already masked off with the rubbery stuff...  :tornado:

B de B, I did do a mock up of the original 5 gun nose as in the back-story, but it was just waaaay too over the top so I've calmed it down a bit...not only that but 5 guns just wouldn't fit in there along with ammo and the nose gear... :banghead: ;D ;D

Hello chaps...I know that I've been a bit on the queit side lately but I've been busy with some 'serious' modelling stuff for the magazine...but I haven't been neglecting my darker side, no siree bob!...the jet Cobra is coming along nicely...wanna see?...ok, lets take a look...

first off, the basic shade of grey has been pre-shaded with some satin black acrylics...

next up is the underside colour...PRU Blue form White Ensign...lovely paints.

PRU Blue? I hear you squeal?...yes indeed, you see, this is going to fit in with Mr.sotoolslingers original back story...so it's gonna look somehting like one of these...

Then it was out with the masking to make sure I didn't mess it up a bit later with my clumsy spraying...

with this in mind it was on with the Dark Green...also courtesy of White Ensign...

swiftly followed by the Grey...hmmm...beginning to get a bit of character now...

what's the verdict so far then?...good choice of markings? Not enough purple?...who knows... ;D

Wow, that's quite an interesting looking build... the swept wings, the odd intakes, she's certainly something.

HOLY COW!!! This is soooo freaking awesome!!!
Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.

I love the look of this thing!

Seems like the "car doors" would make for a difficult bailout trying to get past the jet intakes vacuuming at his bod. Maybe the plane has an "engine eject" that would clear the air tube all the way to the rear, so the exiting pilot could just dive into the nearby intake and be whisked out the back end without having to worry about hitting the empennage!
My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

Just have the door hinged at the back: the door swings open and blocks the intake while the pilot bails out.

I guess in that case, they would not have the often used nickname for rear-hinged doors of Suicide Doors.
