As one of the sponsors of this here GB, I'll put my head on the block first:-

David Brock's RAF MiG 21MF aggressor. Already have the (Academy) kit, AND it will fit happily into the RAF 100 theme for the Nationals.

Will add some more when I've trawled through Mav's thread

Started

Just some basic painting in the cockpit, wont need to much as the seat will take-up a lot of space and the canopy will be closed. Thanks for looking, as ever all comments, queries and criticism will be attended to !

Dang it, you and Eddie and Matrix put more effort in your interiors than I do on my exteriors :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

considering Ian's usual high standard of work, this should be a real head turner once finished.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

yep, indeed a bit of basic cocpit painting. Bit of green, a few black dots and that's it  :banghead:
Looks better then my cockpits though.

Looking forward to seeing this baby finished

This will probably be the last post from me for some time as Baby Hunter-Gatherer is due to arrive tomorrow, and the half hour I spent this afternoon in the paint will be a somewhat distant memory by the time I get to do some more work on this (and every other project).

So here we go:-
The white band is a base coat for the dayglo red band around the 'waist', the wheel bays and undercarriage  have been sprayed Light Gull Grey, the di-electric panels are US Dark Green - (The bluey green tone in Euro 1 camouflage). The cockpit framing is the same greenish blue as the cockpit interior.

Looking good Ian, man is that Academy kit getting a work out for this GB
Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.

Well, Baby Hunter-Gatherer shows no sign of putting in an appearence anytime soon, so with all the prep work for his imminent arrival done, there was nothing to do this morning except a wee bit of spraying. So here's a 70/30 mix of Humbrol H174 Satin Red and Xtracolour Leuchtorange. It looks much more orange in these pictures than it actually is on the model.

Tamiya Buff XF57, Sky Grey XF19 & NATO Brown XF68 for the main camouflage, the fuselage band is 70/30 mix of Humbrol Satin Red & Xtracolour 'Leuchtorange'. Here she is fresh from the paint shed, not even 'touched-up'.
