With less than five days to go in this group build, I thought I'd get cracking on my last entry. Fortunately, I managed to eat a lot of bread since I finished up my last entry.

Looks like I'd better get busy!

Well, after two evening's worth of work, I got to this:

The top wing is held on with poster putty for now. I used the spoons to fashion the headrest fairing and the sloping front of the fuse. There's a little seat and instrument panel inside the cockpit which you can't see. I still have to trim the guns to fit the slope and attach them.

I forgot to include the sprue from the triplane kit which has the prop. I'm tempted to swap out the engine and cowling for the one from the Sopwith Tripe, too. The last shot will give you an idea how dinky this is.

A group of children are opening their Kinder Eggs and are baffled by the instructions on how to build the simple little plastic toys inside.

One little boy, however, has taken the plastic egg that the toy parts come in and is feverishly working it into something completely different.

In a few minutes, he looks up to notice several of his elementary school peers gawking at him in amazement.
Cigarette dangling from his mouth, he simply mutters, "What? It's a Seversky P-35..."
Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

JHM.  I've tried using the plastic from the Kinder Eggs & it doesn't work for model building.  It's pretty much impervious to glues and even CA won't stick to it.

BdB.  I know you're just trying make the rest of us feel bad, turning out works of art made from breadclips and doing it so often.   GOOD WORK!!

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

That's usually true, for mere mortals such as you and I, Ed-----but, then, we're not Brian da Basher!!

Wow Mr Howling Mouse, it sounds like you were there! Actually, it was a Republic P-43 Lancer, but I won't quibble...
;)
