I have been given the honor of finishing a stalled out Eddie M. project.Actually the model whisperer sent me a box o parts . You know how he is. He has rekitbashed some of the parts from this

Which is what it looked like when I picked it out. That is fine cause I am taking the design in a new direction.

This will be a tandem wing Bi-plane with three motors

each wing and the nose will get one of those engines
The original horizontal stabs will get cut in half and mounted as a twin tail

Here is the fuselage mocked up ,the engine will be longer

The landing gear will be mounted under each engine nacell and at the tip of each rear wing a quad setup and will have Spats

I'm fond of tandem wings, keep going Baby!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

All right here is the working layout assembly

Probable top and bottom defensive gun install

And I have begun to construct a cockpit

The supercharger for the nose engine will go under the fuselage

More pics when glue dries

I really like the look of those B-24 Liberator engines on the wings, Toolslinger! Somehow their extra width fools the eye into thinking the tailplane is not as long and they balance out the entire aircraft nicely!

Did I hear you say it will have FOUR spats? I get all warm inside just thinking about it!

I LOVE big fat stubby planes!

Houston, I think we've got another Eddie M here!

sotoolslinger

Thanks ya'll  ;D Yep BdaB there will be a spatted landing gear under each vertical stabilizer on the rear wings and 1 under each engine nacell

I assume most folk on this site are aero geeks, but in case you aren't aware, this is not just a conventional design with a really oversize tail. It is a tandem wing bi-plane ,that is a bi plane with a top and bottom wing with one forward of the other like the Arsenal Delanne C10

Or the Westland P-12

Although I have reversed the wing arrangement; mine will have a low front wing and a high rear wing , and it is considerably scaled up into a 3 engined bomber

Nice work on the supercharger, Toolslinger! It's details like that which really bring a project together for me.

Eddie M.

I just got back from a few days at the beach and all I can say is WOW! I know I see what I'm seein', but it's hard to believe. That is something I NEVER would have come up with. Right on STS!   This truly brings a smile to my face. ;D
