An early merlin engine would look also good, and would have also a historical authorization !

It really looks like a Czech Avia B.534  ;D
Great drawings as usual!
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

MMMMMMM something else to do with leftover Mustang noses
I amuse me.
Huge fan of noisy rodent.

Ooooh thank you Greg! You can bet I have this beauty saved to my HARD drive! What sleek and sexy spats! Even on the little tail wheel!

If I had a Gladiator in the stash, I'd do this one for the Profiles GB!

Having read Christopher Shores' "Malta, the Hurricane Years",  (see pp 370/371)  there were two real-life whiffs operating out of Malta in 1940 which I am going to combine into one for my own Gladiator whif.

One was the "six-gun Gladiator" that had two Lewis guns mounted on top of the wing Great-War style, and the other was the "Bleariator" made from a Blenheim engine and Swordfish wings. The "Bleariator" had greater performance, particularly in climb, than the standard Gladiator.

The project is not high on my list, but *IS* on my list!!

Then there is my "Gloster Gadfly" monoplane "Gladiator"

My mind is like a compost heap: both "fertile" and "rotten"!

GTX

My take on the "Bleariator":

re:Bleariator--do you have any profiles of WW I aircraft with the machine guns mounted atop the wings?? If you could cut-and-paste them onto your Blenheim-engined profile and post it, I would be very appreciative AND it would look like "my" future whiff "Bleariator".

re: Merlin Gladiator---the fuselage machine guns were sunk into the fuselage and fired between cylinder banks of the Gladiator's radial engine. I would not think that such an arrangement could be made with the Merlin--so maybe the top-of-the-wing Lewis guns would work here, too!!
