With Chinese not allowed, is a East German - Soviet cooperation allowed? My aircraft will be 50 % built in the Soviet Union, is designed by the Soviet Union, and marketed to the Soviet Union... (pleaseeeee)

Of course, as East Germany is part of the Soviet block then it most definetly qualifies. Being a co-operation between them doesn't really factor in as a problem, because the Soviets would always been the ones in charge anyway

It just occured to me as I was building a Tamiya GAZ67B (Box stock, which may cause heart attacks in some, but I felt like a quick build with out having to think too hard) that said vehicle is infact elligible for this build. The GAZ67B is, of course, the soviet answer to the Jeep, based upon lend/lease Ford, Willys MB and Bantam jeeps and modified for soviet conditions. Just another example of real world Sovietization I thought I'd share (I'm not entering the GAZ, this is one of those inbetween GB projects).

Willys jeep:

This is the Bantam Jeep (Jeeps where built by three car companies, the Willys and Ford ones looked very similar and are what we recognise as Jeeps today).

This is the GAZ67B (built from the Tamiya model - I think this is it's pic from a Tamiya catalogue originally:

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Is that pic from the promotional wallpaper of Red Dawn II?? ;D

I'm coming to this thing late, but I had an idea for something quick and dirty, and wasn't sure if it would fit the build.  I have an idea for a simple model, but it would be post-Soviet Russian, rather than Soviet.  It will still prominently feature red stars and Russian weapons.  Can I apply it to this build, or should I do it on my own?

Sudden lunatic idea last night: People's International Rescue and thier fleet of птицы грома wonder vehicles!
I imagine птицы грома 2 as being some sort of huge green painted extra-wide Antonov transporter with numerous extra engines and VTOL capacity, while птицы грома 1 would be something like a MiG-21 on steroids kitted out for tail sitting vertical launch...
птицы грома 4 would clearly have to be fitted with Red October style caterpiller drive, птицы грома 5 would have issues with remaining in orbit due to age and lack of mantenance, and птицы грома 3 would have a Soyuz style nose.
And Lady Natasha would drive a glorious communist red Zil limosine with eight wheels (that's two more than FAB 1! Another victory for the motherland!), but she would not have a butler due to her adherence to Communist principles. Possibly she could be a member of the politburo.

It's post Soviet, but EMERCOM is pretty much the closest there has ever been to an International (well, National in this case) Rescue.  So it's in the Russian blood, it's got to be done!

Probably not Lady Natasha either, the aristocracy bathed in the blood of the workers Comrade!  Partkom Secretary (my Soviet politcs lesson courtesy of Wikipedia!) Natasha perhaps, with Parker being her KGB bodyguard?

Figured it would not be lady, but if I just said 'Natasha' no one would have any idea what I was on about

Well it doesn't look like I am going to be building anything for this Group Build.

Work and life commitments have kinda meant that I won't be doing much of anything for awhile.

I will be popping in from time to time to see what great work people are doing but as for joining in I will have to pass.

Keep up the great stuff.
