I think a Soviet F-111 with the same principles applied is a given too!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

I have been kicking around for a while now, doing a Sovietized Abrams TUSK-- with lots of T-80 features. Im hoping i can squeeze that in along with some aircraft.

Hmmmmm talk of Harriers got me thinking: suppose a film company did a deal with the RN to get a movie out of Illustrious and Ark Royal before they're scrapped? The movie's set in a 1980s WWIII, so one of them gets to play itself, but is "paint and canvas" modified back to it's 1980's spec, and carries GR.9's painted to look like SHARs (false radome etc...) The other one plays the Soviet carrier and is dressed to look roughly (very roughly) like a Kiev, with sewer-pipe missile tubes on the foredeck and GR.9s painted to look like "Movie-Forgers" i.e. black ('cos they're bad guys) and with BIG red stars (so the audience know exactly who's who).... ;D

Edited Kirov to Kiev 23dec08 'cos I'm dumb.........

Oh, now there's an interesting idea; a Soviet version of the Invincibles.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

Possible second project for me: an OV-10 Bronco with a Hind-D canopy. Unfortunately, the Hind's weapons are spoken for, but I'm sure I'll come up with something... Back story is that it's an Antonov project for Afghanistan, intended to reduce wear and tear on the Hinds by doing all the stuff that doesn't require hovering, like dropping FAMs or mines, route/cable-surveillance/protection.

Alternative is to put a jet engine in the rear of the pod and replace the turboprops with a pair of BIG cannon.....

Anyone ever seen the PZL-Mielec M-15 Belphegor - the world's only jet powered biplane? Cause it looks sort of like someone strapped a jet ONTOP of a bronco, and added more wings... Now it is a soviet design, but imagine the fun you could have converting other planes to a similar configuration!

I keep expecting A-Model to come out with a kit for an M-15 Belphegor, but they are obviously not on my wavelength. :(
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

If I remember correctly, didn't the test pilots flatly refuse to fly the Belphegor at first?

I'm not surprised in the slightest! It looks like a full size Whiff without even trying hard. Just reading the spec. without seeing a photo produces a feeling of 'You WHAT?'

'A turbo jet, twin boom, crop-spraying BIPLANE' ? ? ? ? ? Strewth.......

I was thinking this morning (cried of 'Did it hurt?' from the peanut gallery) about Sovietised cars. Now Russian car makers often turned to Fiat for help, but whatif the ruskies wanted to porve they could make a car which out performed and was more stylish than those from the US? So I was thinking in essecne, what would the soviet answer to a 64 Mustang look liken

I'm planning to sovietize a car for the GB, but I'm not telling you what. It's not a Mustang however.
