Pure Whiff or a Project as most of mine tend to be cancelled projects rather than pure fantasy Whifs ?

Just something that did not excist

PanzerWulff

I would have to say my best would be either the model that was "SO WRONG IT'S RIGHT" my Mitsubishi A4U/M Kaizoku allied codename "Greg"

Or Rommels desert rat killer the PzkfwII ausf-J "Jagd Luchs"

"Panzer"
Chris"PanzerWulff"Gray "The Whiffing Fool"
NOTE TO SELF Stick to ARMOR!!!
Self proclaimed "GODZILLA Junkie"!

Spey_Phantom

my bests would be:

Belgian NH90 (whiff paintjob)

Belgian AF F-8E Crusader, one of my first whiffs here.

and the Belgian Rafale

on the bench:

-all kinds of things.

Not my best, per se, but probably my favorite so far:

Shasper

Ok, I retract my previous statement, out of my finished kits to date:

Churchill K.1A

F-8F

FB-19

F-4T

The rest are either still being worked on or in some form of assembly (my bench is starting to resemble the MiG factories in Russia :( )

I think I'm fondest of my Allegheny Airlines Atlantic C-3 Tri-motor:

It always gives me great satisfaction to morph a sub-par kit into something new.

Hey Mr Howling Mouse, your fans want to know what you like best out of all the masterpieces you've created!

Hard to pick the best one I've build but I have narrowed it down to 2. I'll let you guys be the judge.

Here is my favorite, a 1/32 scale Fw 190A-9 built from the Hasegawa Fw 190A-8 kit.

This model was built using the big Ta 152 style tail and blown canopy from the Revell Fw 190D-9 kit. I also used resin parts from Eagle Editions for the 14 blade engine cooling fan, large oil cooler ring, and paddle blade prop.

This IS a what-if, there were very few short nosed Fw 190s built with the Ta 152 style tail and it is unlikely they survived long enough to fly any combat missions in the last weeks of the war.

I suppose these two would be the best i have done as they have been put with the actual manufactureres models at MAM, although the P139 is probably my current favourite build to date.

I have twenty-one models from Whif-world. It is very hard for me to point a single one. After pondering what it would be, I couldn't reduce the list from three that are the ones I like the most:

The Griffon, a P.1214-inspired bird. Completely scratch built, made of cardboard (Yum!!!), plastic, and love.

The F/A-31 SnakeBat, based on an X-31 and a NASA SNAKE (Super Normal Attitude Kinetic Enhancement):

And, finally, the MRF-16, one of the entries considered for the MRF(multi-role Fighter) contest, way before JAST and JSF.

UUUuuumm, I love cardboard (Cardboard, Yum!!!)
OK, I know I can't stop scratchbuilding. Someday, I will build something OOB....

I just love seeing all these fantastic examples of creativity and craftmanship.  What a gallery of ingenuity.  I am truly honored to share a website with you folks.

Is it possible to transfer this thread to the front page as an article for new visitors to the site?  It would be quite the example of what this site is all about.

You guys are impressive as impressive can get!

[Oh, and for my own "best" Whiff to date, I'd probably choose either the Menaz or the Morsair.  Then again, there's a pair of "SuperBolts" that should be done within a couple of days and they make me grin like a little kid at Christmas whenever I walk past them, too!]

Since I have only finished 2 I would go with my last.

ROK F-47D during the Korean War.

Hoping my 1 weeker becomes my new fav.
