I bought the Revell Airbus A-319 yesterday. It came with IAE and CFM engines, and British Airways and Germanwings markings. I have thought of how i would do it last night, and i have decided to convert it into an A-318 in British Airways markings. This is sorta a whiff, until 2009, as BA has ordered 2.

I need help to convert it into an A-318 though. The A-318 is shorter (i can do this with ease), but the tail is taller. How do i do this?

My approach would be to draw the new tail and once I get something I like, use it to trace the shape on to some sheet plastic. Then I'd cut off the old tail and make the new one. I might put a piece of sprue that's the right length (and thickness) in there to add some structural strength and for a base to wrap the sheet plastic parts around to get the airfoil shape. Lastly, I'd fill the gap on top with putty.

why not leave it as is, and do it as a Danish air force one.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.
