G'day Gang,

Modellverisum has a review of the Hobby Boss 72nd scale Mi-24V 'Hind'.  http://www.modellversium.de/kit/artikel.php?id=3630

Now, as some of you might have gathered, I've been less than impressed with their ability to provide almost nothing in the way of stores with their modern jets in most instances.  It seems that they've gone in the opposite direction with this particular kit, with the following stores list:

4x 9M114 "Shturm" (AT-6 "Spiral") ATGWs
4x UB-32A-24 FFAR Pods
2x KMGU-2 CBUs
2x B8V20  FFAR Pods
2x UBK-23/250 Gunpods
2x ZB-500 500kg Dumb Bomb
2x FAB-500 500kg Dumb Bomb
2x FAB-250 Dumb Bomb
4x 9M17P "Falanga" ATGWs
2x 9-A-624 Gun Pods
2x PTB- 450 Drop Tanks

Given the type has the ability to heft four stores of various types, in addition to four ATGWs, it can obviously be seen that the list is 'generous' to say the very least.

I can't understand why they'd flood a kit with stores on the one hand and yet leave other equally important types bereft of equipment, their Strike Eagle sans LANTIRN being a good case.

Regards,

Easy, they probably had the real stuff to copy.  ;D

Yes, finally a new mold 1/72 Mi-24! I almost gave up halfway into the dreadful Italeri / Revell kit

The Hasegawa one isn't bad. It doesn't have quite that level of stores, but it does have AT-6s, AT-2s, 4x 57mm rocket pods and the option of either a Dor an E, so you end up with either a spare 12.7mm gatling turret or a spare GSh-30-2...... (or both if you wrecked the kit years ago and are now plundering it for bits....)
