AAAARGH, ZOMBIE(thread)!

Does anyone have a spare Agave nose kicking around in 1/72? I've sent messages to two different emails for The Model Works but without reply as yet.

Thanks in advance!

I think they are long out of production.  I got the last one from a company in Europe for a hideous amount about two years ago and used it in my Jaguar MO5

the Jaguar has a huge ammount of what if potential both in terms of variants and national users/operations

If the Jaguar Agave modification is OOP, due to the company that made it having folded, can such an item drop into rubber with relative impunity?

I know it's in a book I have around here somewhere....

I'd use an Etenard nose, myself...

I asked as I actually have one of the conversion sets. The Etendard has a more rounded nose than the radome fitted to the Jaguar.

If I had an Etendard I'd gladly take its nose for the Jag!

If the Modelworks nose isn't available any more, maybe that's an opportunity for Colin at Freightdog to do one.

I've improvised with some use of the spares box, after a brainstorming session with Ian the Kiwi Herder (his yard was strangely deficient in Kiwi when I was there on Saturday".

I found this on Wikipedia. Some ideas for the Collective (I've already pinched one of these prospective nations for a build I hope to start this weekend):
"Early in development, it was decided that the Jaguar should be offered for export. In 1969, while still in the prototype stage of development, formal approaches had been made to Switzerland, India, Japan, Australia, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany, promoting the aircraft for sale. Japan began negotiations towards licensed production of the Jaguar, but these plans failed in part because of the high royalty payments sought by SEPECAT. A proposal for Turkey to construct Jaguars under licence for their own air force also did not come to fruition. Attempts to export to Kuwait and Pakistan did not transfer into orders. Kuwait initially ordered 50 Jaguars and 16 Mirage 5s, but instead firmed up for F1s. Pakistan approached SEPECAT after the US refused to sell their aircraft of choice, the LTV A-7 Corsair II, due to an arms embargo; Pakistan eventually opted for Mirage 5s."

Apparently there was a single-engined, delta wing proposal. I'd love to see it. The BAC P.71 looks pretty neat too, if a slightly more involved kitbash prospect:

So going to try and build it Zac ?, Looks to be a BAC proposal for a RN VTOL Fighter Strike aircraft as an alternative to the eventually selected HS Sea Harrier.

Would be interesting with the deflected thrust and separate lift engine, something akin to the Yak 141 and F-35 but at the era of the Yak-38 so whilst in the air it might have a better turn of speed than the Harrier I suspect flying the thing in VTOL mode would be very challenging at best.

No, it's beyond my capability/interest/stock right now. Hopefully someone does as it looks pretty cool.
