Holy cow, kitnut, that's one of the most impressive camo schemes I've seen in a while! That's an unbelievable talent and some outstanding crafstmanship you're displaying!

Thanks guys, now where that 'embarrassed' smiley when you need it.  All I've got to do now is some 'JHM' photography, if I can figure out how this little camera works.

Nice Mi-8 Eric, I've plans for one of those myself but use a Mi-17, I've read somewhere that Canada is negotiating a lease for some of them to use in the 'stan

Looking good.  You did a great job on the camo.  I like the mix of Russian and US weapons.

Kitnut,

Six leased Mi-8Ts started ops from Kandahar Airfield on 17 Nov 2008. The lease is through SkyLink but the helicopters came from AeroStan and carry Kirghiz regs. The Mi-17s in question were either the 'time-shares' with the Poles or part of the larger NATO effort to get the Czechs and others to contribute more Mils to Afghanistan.

BTW, the leased helos fly with what's called  the Canadian Contracted Air Transport Unit which, in turn, is part of the CF Air Wing -- as is Canadian Helicopter Force (Afghanistan) which operates the CH-147D Chinooks and CH-146 Griffons. Now where are those CH-151 Thunderbirds!

If they're not lying to us again, we should finally have some weather in the minus single-digits only this Saturday: great time for outdoor photography and sunbathing!

Might be a while before I can upload some photos, I'm having a lot of problems getting on and around the forum at the moment.  Just seems to be this forum as the others I frequent are not a problem or other websites.  Even trying to post something without  photos is very iffy, yesterday I made a couple and they have disappeared now.
