Yep no jogging yet but I did have a doc appointment today. It is freakin heaven to get all that crap off my leg. PT starts thursday and will go for 3 weeks.
But I did get some progress made today

Note that I have added the light gun pods to the forward wings

They will have these cool barrels

These will be installed on the fuselage fairings as gravity resist generator/projectors


note it will also have vertical lift jets

And it will also be sporting this array of missiles as underwing stores

Actually the multiple rocket pods will go on the tips of the vertical stabs as anti missile/counter pursuit defence

As we`re talking weapons howsabout missiles facing backwards for rear defence or a rack of small mines for same.

If ships are gonna fly really really fast then the turning circle is gonna be pretty wide and fixed guns are gonna have a long wait to get onto targets after a firing pass, so hows about small turrets or movable guns like on helicopters.

ANYWAY  I reworked the multiple rocket pods today and so now they  look like this

As to the manuverablity issues , space combat actually can not take place ship to ship at speeds very much faster than terrestrial combat except at very long ranges(which is what advanced missiles are for) Artificial intelligence makes up for some of this but fighter to fighter combat with guns or short ranged missiles is what it is you can't shoot faster than you can see
Addressing the manueverability issue we have ..... vertical lift and steering jets




In addition we will have directional thrusters

As well as hypermagnetic gravity manipulators


above and below
