Ooops, sorry, Oh Nemesis of Puddings, I didn't mean to hijack your thread!

In case you're wondering, the gun was built by a Californian gun shop to show up the alleged silliness of the Californian "Assault Weapons" law, which tries to ban "military-style" weapons but still allow hunting rifles and the like. Apparently, by being converted to single shot, having the filled in grip (a commercially available accessory, I understand) and being painted "not black", this AR-15 is apparently not an assault rifle any more in the eyes of the law.

Remember that if you ever get hit by a pink SS109 doing 900+ m/s..........

Yes, it has the SciFi version of spats. Just so, you know, it fits in around here...

Good lord, it has spats from both directions!

And greeblies on the engines

ANd those bombs will go under the engines (once everything else is pianted to make things easier)

Parts for my SSM Kitbash challenge build arrived thursday so I'm working on that. Also I'm at the parents' place until sunday, so I can't get you lot pics of the first stages of paint. It's green. With Yellow/Green trim.

This is the middle ship of a Trilogy... the Iconoclast (my SSM kitbash challenge project) is the first. I'll be doing a third as a second SSM kitbash entry. Then I'll possibly be building a hanger bay for them.
I have ideas for other, similar builds (including a five engines spce bomber based on a Lancaster if I can ever scrape together the monies to buy a 1/72 Lanc... It's not that I can't afford one, it's more than I'm reluctant to buy any single kit for more than $25 when I intend to bash it... call mne insane if you must... adn let's face it, you must). When they eventuate they will be shared.

Well, I can't announce the completion of the Hunchback (yet anyway - probably this arvo) but I can announce it's compinion ship the Iconoclast is done. Now on to Baron Samedi - the third ship in the trilogy!
