I'll be in for this too. I'll post some new pics of my recent USMC SoPac Spit if a 'Previous Inspiration' thread appears, and for the build I'll pick one of the ideas I was considering for that build.

A few I'm thinking of so far are:

RAF F.22 I was thinking of for a 1946-47 allied push into the USSR, with this Spit defending the Iraqi oilfields.

Boscombe Raspberry Ripple Griffon Spit, as seen in a lovely profile by Jennings (also still under consideration for the Profile GB)

Arctic camo Soviet F.22 for a 'Luft 46' alt history.

You know it crossed my mind after posting with that title. Maybe a Rebel scheme with wingtip blasters and a little R2 dome stuck on somewhere... I may have to reconsider my plan!

I had the idea a couple of years ago to do something similar with two Me-262s and four 37mm cannon pods. I got the 262s (the very nice Revell and the not-so Smer two-seater) and the pods, but like all my projects, it stalled.

I started one earlier this year. Not finished yet, but I guess pics will have to follow!

Great idea, now where are you going to stick the hyperdrive??

V-Tail it and model the Hyperdrive as a pulsejet mounted on the tail! There's your hyperdrive for ya!

Almost could be plausible too... have a secondary fuel tank, and give it the ability to air-start the pulsejet for long cruise flight or for a speed kick somewhere. I dunno. But it'd look pretty damn interesting! Twin Wing, V-Tail, Pulsejet...
