This must be at least the third strip down Ive done to this project.

I just cant get the camo scheme to work. As well known plastic artist and long time mate :drink:who shall remain nameless (as requested Ian),said ,when I said I didnt like the dark brown shade,"yep it is sh*te isnt it."

Leave my chariot of fire in the lock up,just bring me my Fairy Power Spray.

With the faded effect, it already looks quite realistic. What are the planned markings?

And, anyhow, it is impossible to make a Phantom which does not look absolutely amazing.

I think it was his mum

It was to be in a "Roman" scheme,then I had some really nice Moroccan markings. Believe me "even" on a Phantom that scheme looked awfull..............my camera does lie.

Read "Phantom Over Vietnam", there's a story in there about how HQ types tried to stop squadrons using Hangar Queens (the only way the squadrons could keep the rest of the birds flying) by bringing in a rule that every bird had to fly once a month. So they had to roll out their poor old HQ which was missing just about everything needed to fly! IIRC both the flaps and undercarriage were welded in the "down" positions, it was even missing a canopy, but it managed to fly a circuit
