I suspect that it'll be the old KP kit.

It was the first KP kit I think.

I have three of them, also in plastic bags, that I brought back from a trip to Czechoslovakia (as it was then...) sometime during 1974 I think. I needed special paperwork to bring them out!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

BaE Sea Harrier FR1, The Navio da Republica Portuguesa, Infante D. Henrique. Indian Ocean 1984

The last cruise of the Navio da Republica Portuguesa, Infante D. Henrique saw her operating 12 Sea Harriers purchased from the UK after their rather impressive performance during the assault phase of the Falklands war.

The Infante D. Henrique showed the flag for the last time during 1984 with it's final journey to Macco where she was to be laid up until  her final voyage to a Chinease breakers yard.

the Sea harriers were flown to the Portugese base at Macco until home voyage on HMS Triumph around 4 months later, they then served upon the two converted Mechant men João VI o clemant and Afonso VI o vitorioso in their auxilary carrier role. Bothships became casualites during the 91 disaster whilst fighting against heavier Nato forces North West of Gibralter.

tried to make this one look a little tired and salt stained, but not too sure how well it came out..

I think it came out really well  - love the ragged look it has.

Vickers VC12, B.O.A.C., Operation Golden Calf (Evacuation of Commonwealth citizens from Hanoi ) 1976

Following on from the VC10 the VC12 could trace its ancestry back to the VC7 proposal but using the Rolls-Royce RB.168 Spey engine instead of the conways of the VC10, Giving the aircraft incrased range and far better fuel economy the VC12 looked enough like the previous VC10 that it caused confusion throughout there carears.

I have had this at work this week and more than one person was convinced it was a VC10 so it seems to have done it's job already  ;D ;D ;D

the base kit is a Zvezda Tu154m, the decals are home produced from TU154 bulgarian airways sheets as a pattern and BOAC VC10 sheets for colour.

QuoteHow did you make the Display for Your Planes

It's dead simple mate the concrete is just a few sheets downloaded off the webb ( if you need them i can send them to you ) and cut and shut together onto some mounting board, the people are from a little place in Hong Kong i have found that sells ready painted 1/150 scale railway figures, they cost less than £3 for 100 figures including postage !!, the boarding ladder comes from an Airfix comet kit, nothing to it took around 10 mins to knock together once you get the bits
