QuoteDo you think that the roundels would suit that Sparrowhawk that I put together for the Between the Lines? Would I have to change the paint scheme?

yes mate they would look good, the QGL uses standard colour schemes so no need to change it, if you want a set of decals pm me and it's on the way  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Commonwealth Interceptor,
Captain Britain.
episode 19  " The Sun Never Sets "

In this episode the commonwealth defenders helped the poor nation of Oman fight off the attentions of the giant "US OIL Company" with it's mercenary aircraft and ground forces. the defenders and the interceptor pilots fought the us forces into the ground and managed to destroy the supply base and ships forcing the US company to abandon it's plans to control the country.......HURRAH another victory for the Commonwealth Defenders  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hi Tim

I liked the story line of episode 19. I wonder if I could trouble you for some QGL Roundels and I shall update the Sparrowhawk in the appropriate manner. I am also considering a Harrier or two, one in French colours and the other in Israeli colours.

I think I really really want an Airfix Dassault Super Mystère B2 for Christmas, because I really loved the colour scheme. I shall look around.
But thanks in advance and my I wish you and all your family a Happy Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.

If I am targetted by JMNs, I'm in good Company.

No, no, no! You do not die for your country, you make the other one die!

Hawker Skua F3, serving with the tender HMS Mallard, operation Musketeer, just off Port Said 1956

Yo fill a requirement from the Royal Marines for air support over the beaches of any future action Hawker modified it's Seahawk into the float plane the Skua ( a Sea Hawk !!! ) that could be operated from an old escort carrier rescued from the breakers yard and renamed HMS Mallard.

The Skua was an absolute pig to fly. with no redeeming features and was loathed by all whom flew her. However they where assigned to the task force for operation Musketeer and a role had to be found for them .....so the spent the entire time in theatre patrolling the Israeli border and intercepting aircraft from the US fleet as they tried to shadow Commonwealth and French forces.

Returned early from the operation to be immediately scrapped , no Skua is extent today .

PR19_Kit

You mean they didn't call it a Sea Sea Hawk?  ;D

Cracking idea though, and looks very plausible indeed.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit
