I prefer option 2, it just looks right, but I cannot give you an exact reason, the globe and laurel wreath perhaps.
If I am targetted by JMNs, I'm in good Company.

No, no, no! You do not die for your country, you make the other one die!

A bit late to the party on this, but I like also happen to like option 2 the best as well, it's certainly the best of the 2 designs.

I'm also a europhobe/eurosceptic to the core as well.
If you love, love without reservation; If you fight, fight without fear - THAT is the way of the warrior

If you go into battle knowing you will die, then you will live. If you go into battle hoping to live, then you will die

....and I'm a Europhile  ;D

Europhiliacs Anonymous?

Yea I know I'm in the minority but I'm hoping for a grant because of it  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd, Sitar F1

Licence produced by the Indian govenment the Sitar, named such after the Russian balalaika nickname of the Mig 21 , for the RAF made a considerable advance over the original design with duel Sidwinder mounts and airbourne refueling capability.

The Sitar was produced as a lightweight ( relativly after the RAF required mods ) dissimilar trainer for an " Agresser " style organisation, though it was never offically called such a thing. Issued to 93 and 689 sqds of the RAF and RAuxAF respectivly the Sitar was in almost constant use up to the 91 disaster.

The aircraft acheived no war record with the RAF unwilling to fly the type into combat where its looks would be a disadvantage.

the aircraft is a Corgi dicast, not sure where the missiles are from, got them in a bag of bits fron Chadders  ;D  ;D
and the refueling probe comes from an old defunct Lightning.

Quotehas a hint of the EU about it to my eye, and I'm a Europhile

QuoteI'm also a europhobe/eurosceptic to the core as well.

On this argument I'm a Euroskeptic, it's a great idea just handled wrong....but in the Empires Twighlight we don't have to worry, No common market , no European Union just the UK / France special relationship and the strong Commonwealth ties  ;D  ;D  ;D so no arguments their

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Definately looks different in RAF roundels Tim, good job!  And a transparent canopy too!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Captain Canada

Nice ! Love the probe, and the -21 makes the sidewinders look huge !

Royal Tunisian Air force F4 Corsair, Operation Musketeer II. 9th-10th November 1956

Following Tunisian independance in early 1956 the " Bey " of Tunis adopted the title of King of Tunisia and in a bi-latteral agrement with France entered into a defence agreement which saw the fledgling tunisian forces taken under the wing of the apropriate service.

The 12 corsairs that the RTAF operated where a case in point, with no real facility or need for aircraft based in Tunisa the French embarked them apon their carrier the Vulcaine and it was this which saw the Kingdom of Tunisia involved in the Suez crisis.

Opreating at the southern end of the canal in conjunction with Australian and South African forces the Vulcaine with attached battlegroup and Foreign Legion regiment did not wear the Suez stripes of the northern attack as no contact was expected with any Egyption aircraft.

Operating in the ground support role the Corsairs supported the 13th DBLE in it's drive up the Canal and was credited with the destruction of at least 2 Egyption blocking positions.

After the operation it was found out that the Corsairs were worn out, hard service with 3 previous ownwers had taken it's toll. Withdrawn from service in 1957 the Corsair was replaced by the Myster and to this day remains the only aircraft operated by Tunisia to have flown from an aircraft carrier.

I really tried to make this one look like it is tired and on it's last legs. Used a couple of techniques om this one so i'm hoping it paid off  ;D  ;D

Couldn't use my usual blue base as the shed door was frozen solid and i couldn't open the bloody thing  >:(   so i had to make the base for the photo's  ;D  ;D
