The royal South African Navy aircraft are...

1; the Buccaneer is the new release Airfix kit.

2; the Phantom is the old Matchbox release with a couple of added bits from a bag Chadders kindly gave me.

3; the Gannet is the old Novo model.

the paint scheme is based upon rn ones but with differant colours to make it a bit more "foreign", the colours are Tamiya IJN grey green on the upper surfaces, sides and undersurface are a mixture of Sky and white mixed 30/70 and the radomes etc are in basic sky.

there are two mor to follow for this group, a Wessex, which i picked up Friday and hope to have finished by the weekend and a Vacform Gannet AEW which hopefully will be the week after , fingers crossed.

Everything looks better with the addition of British Roundels!

Unfortunatly Mrs darkmaster has had no new cats so i cannot have a new shelf, however i have colonised the top of the wardrobe  ;D  ;D , but it is at that very sad stage where something must be moved to boxes and transfered to that airbase in the loft  >:(  :banghead:  >:(

Those three look excellent: the colours in particular are very believable. Nice one!

You managed to make a very bug-like helo, into something very sharp looking

Love the colour scheme on the Wessex!

Mossie

Westlands managed to take the ugly stick that had Sikorsky had hit the S-58 with & used it to beat it Wessex into submission!  Still, I've got a fondness for the aesthetically challenged old girl, used to see the last knackered SAR aircraft flying over for some years after she should have been putting her feet up.

Looks great in your SAN colours Tim!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

You have quite a talent for helos too, darkmaster! I think your RSAN helo is one of your best yet!

That Wessex looks really tidy  - I like these RSAN colour schemes you've come up with very much.
