Well the gannet AEW is almost made, so may be up and running by Sunday with luck, I do however have one more i wish to put with them soon but what's ocupying my mind at the moment is something argentine for the falklands war and it's aftermath.
I'm looking at a F16 or a Mirage F1 with the possibility of even having a Lightning F6, not going to buy anything for this bit as i have a stash to deplete so it's down to them, what do you think ?

F-16 would be interesting, since the New Commonwealth & United States are up against one another, the US might well fund it's enemies.  Lightning might be good also, if Argentina has been good mates with the NC, then fallen out of the Falklands/Malvinas.

Final RSAN bird  ( for now ) is done, juat awaiting fine wether for some pics.

On the Argentine front, after careful consideration I've decided to use the F16 as multirole aircraft, Mirage f1 as a fighter and the Lightning F6 as more of a Point defence fighter for base's within the country so it's going to be all 3 plus others to follow

I would say an early F-16, with drop tanks, iron bombs and Sidewinders (maybe an Exocet for carrier-killing?). No Sparrows for foreign sales. Lightnings could be interesting too (the FAA did have some Canberras, after all) though they wouldn't get to the islands themselves. Maybe point defence trying to take down Concorde B.4s attacking mainland industrial targets?

More or less how i had it in my head, F16 is an a varient, Lightning is home based and i was going to give the F1 Exocet for it's forlorn carrier hunting

F16A Halcón de la lucha, Fuerza Aérea Argentina, Quilmes A/B Buenos Aires. Falklands War 1982

Operating from Quilmes air base during the Falklands war the Fuerza Aérea Argentina's F16's where initially tasked with air defence of the capitol and the River Plate area. They suffered at the hands of the combined New Commonwealth attacks, being at the recieving end of atacks from Phantoms, Sea Harriers, tempests and having to run the full air defence gauntlet of the opposing fleet. It's not surprising therefore that of the original 42 aircraft only 6 were left at the end of the conflict, with the unfortunate kill ratio of 5 F16's for every Commonwealth aircraft to fall to them.
