Thanks guys.

Next project requires a name for a twin jet engine carrier based bomber/attack aircraft, 1950's vintage and UK/Commonwealth..........any ideas as mrs Darkmaster whom usually picks such things is a little stumped  ;D  ;D
Everything looks better with the addition of British Roundels!

Can't go wrong with a red mirage in anti flash white!
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Fantastic and in that scheme it looks anything but French!
Get this Cheese to sick bay!

What about: Cambridge (my hometown ;D,not to menition Cambridge, U.K.) or
                  Preston???

I got a random idea, if there is a kit containing Kh-22/AS-4 Kitchen missiles, you can incorporate those missiles into a backstory as "Kitchener"s. ;D

Also, Great Chinese Mirage-iv/H-7  !!!

"Preston Privateer" - I mean, who on earth would name a twin-engined naval attack jet after a north-western town and a type of pirate, right?  ;)

The H7 and the Agni are both excellent - nice one!

Yeah, what Weaver said! Damn fine work!
Cheers,
Moritz

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Belated congratulations for your surprising Agni craft, among other beauties...

Hawker Night Heron BR5, Cyprus 1958

developed by Hawker from their SeaHawk the night heron was in fact more of a scaled up model seating two crew and having two engines. Designed at the outcome as an anti ship or ground attack aircraft it carried up to six wing harpoints each able to carry up to 1175lbs. She was also fitted with two 20mm cannons in chin pods with 1700 rounds each optermised for straffing attacks rather than air to air combat.

The Night Heron carried the folding wing of its ancestor but was mainly deployed by the Royal and Commonwealth Navies from land bases in support of Royal Marines and other units, however she did see limitrd service aboard the support carrier HMS Ocean after her conversion to a Royal Marine support role.

Active service for the Night Heron was more or less limited to the continuing conflict within Egypt and on a wider scale in support of Israel post 1956, with squadrons assigned to Cyprus, Ishmallia and tel Aviv from 1957 through to 1963.

land rover for scale, kit is actually Trumpetor 1/48 seahawk scale-o-ramaed into 1/72, tail is from Phantom wings and 1000lb bombs from 1/72 wyvern kits, tip tanks from Hunter and canopy from spare box and finally chin gunpods come from a Hunter kit.
