Spitfire, Royal flight, Royal Moroccan Air force 1987

The crown prince of Morrocco was a WWII fan, he had the films, he had the toy's, his own Sherman and m3 1/2Track and he wanted the planes, however only one would do him and that was the Spitfire.

He searched the world for his perfect aircraft antil one day in 1978 he found the one he was after in a store on an Australian farm where it had been for more that 30 years, money was no object and the semi derelict Spitfire made it's way to Morrocco to be worked on by the Air Force and Rolls Royce for the next 8 1/2 years until it was rolled out during 1987 in the Crown Princes's personel livery of Midnight Black

Thanks, Tim - looking forward to the collaborative effort on this piece.  It should be quite interesting, and I'm looking forward to challenging myself in taking this to another level.

I think the Moroccan Spitfire is my favorite of yours yet! The gloss black scheme is the perfect compliment to the red markings and the tinted canopy is a nice contrast. Definitely fit for a prince!

Well done, darkmaster!

Gotta love that gorgeous Spit!
Cheers,

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

Mig 19, Combined revolutinary council/ Peoples air force (Ejército Zapatista de Liberación Nacional)  Mexico 1990

One of the few groups within the conflict that fielded it's own pilots was the Zapatista Army of National Liberation, formed in the south of the country and with a Social reform platform that appealed to a wider cross section of the Mexican populace than many other groups it was able to recruit from current and ex armed forces pilots.

Fielding a mixture of Mig's and chinease copies the Zapatista Army of National Liberation also had on it's books F5's and f104's recieved from defecting pilots of the old regime, though due to lack of spares these rarely flew.

not used in the fighter role the mig 19's of the Zapatista Army of National Liberation performed sterling service in the ground attack role over the cental and northern fronts.

98th......it gets ever closer  ;D  ;D  ;D

Lightning! Lightning!

...or..... a Lightning!

Mossie

Bash them all together!  Lightning I think, although the a B-1 in antiflash white would be cool...
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Weaver

Put the Lightning wings on the Hunter fuselage. Cut the Lightning intake and cone in half, stick them on the sides of the Hunter and get a tub of putty out..............

On the off-chance that you don't fancy that: Lightning.  ;D

Where on earth did you get a Saro Skeeter kit from?

Lightning! A display machine in bright colours (Firebirds, but white instead of NMF?), or a very war-weary, battered survivor after the disaster. :)

Though the same could be said for the hunter...

Do the Bone, nice impressive size for number 100.
